Ilona Romule, born on June 3, 1962, in Riga, Latvia. She studied at Latvian Art Academy, Ceramics Department during 1980 and 1985, and got graduated as MFA. She has been a board member of the National Committee in International Association of Art, UNESCO during 1999 and 2002, and a member of International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, Switzerland since 2001. In 1979, She started working at the Art Foundation ceramics workshop or factory in Riga, and later she worked as Guest-teacher and Workshops leader in Art Schools, Universities and Art Centers in USA, Canada, Finland, Hungary, Australia, Turkey, Israel, and China. Otherwise, She has organized various art symposiums and won different prizes in different countries and regions.
